My 4th of July Preface:

My family was very lucky to spend the 4th of July Holiday with the "Texas Girls" and their parents, Jeff and Jenny. Wally and I had this grand plan to take the Texas Millers and our own Team Miller to the Indians game on the 4th. There was supposed to be fireworks at the baseball stadium right after the game and an even bigger fireworks display after that in downtown Indy. What could be better? Baseball, hot dogs, beer, fireworks, and family. The perfect 4th of July right?

Well not so much. The weather was awful and it rained all day. We went to the game hoping the clouds would part, but no luck. The 8 of us stood around in $1 store rain slickers (that looked like body condoms) for 3 hours. The game was postponed. The kids filled up on junk food and I think we probably spent $100 on hot dogs and popcorn.

When we got home, everyone was wet, cold, and tired. The kids watched a few fireworks from our back porch and the adults enjoyed a nice beverage. At some point we were all having so much fun that our “wonder dog” Manny got into our guest’s luggage and came out with underwear on his head. He then proceeded to eat most of it! We all had a good time. Then everyone went to bed.

Sometime after midnight, all hell broke loose. My sweet little niece Mollianne, got a terrible stomach ache and well... sort of exploded! I mean she really let loose and I think everything she ate at the ballgame came out.
