Where has the time gone?

The day has finally come... my 20 year High School Reunion is this weekend. So I decided to actually dig out my senior book and go through it the other day. It was so much fun going through all the old pictures, what I was doing 20 years ago, and what my hopes and dreams were as an 18 year old. But I came across one piece of myself that really grabbed my attention the most. The 10 things I want to do before I die list. Now I made this list at 18 while bored to tears one night, but surprisingly, most of the things I had on that list are still the same things I still want to do! I guess it really hit home that I am not getting any younger and I really need to get started on this list. So I decided to actually motivate myself by posting my Top 10 List instead of just shoving it back into my senior book.

Heather (Herron) Miller's
Top 10 things to do before I die:

  1. Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef
  2. Play a game of tennis at Wimbledon
  3. Celebrate New Year's Eve in Las Vegas at least once
  4. Swim with a Great White Shark (I would be in a cage of course)
  5. Sing at least one song in public on stage
  6. Spend a whole day at a really, really expensive Hollywood spa
  7. Take a summer off and spend it traveling through Europe photographing all the sites and soaking up the culture and food
  8. Sky Dive (Have promised to do with both boys when they graduate college. I figure it won't matter if I break a hip by the time the are out of college!)
  9. Meet Steve Alford and play a game of horse with him (still love him!)
  10. Write a children's book

Cool list, my friend! You really aim high, don't ya? I've always wanted to write a book too! I bet you have more than a kids book in you though... you should write a couple of books! I'll even edit them for you!

Oh and you of all people should know that a cage ain't all that when it comes to a great white!

Man! You're list frightens me. I'm a big scaredy cat. But I hope you get to do all of these things!
