Oh yes....they're listening!

I guess I am gonna have to start living right! Since I got my new ride, the kids have been amazingly quiet. I am not completely sure if it is because they have an entertainment system at their fingertips or because I have threatened them with bodily harm if they junk up the back seat of my new car like they did in our last vehicle. Either way, our outings have been low stress, enjoyable, and (my favorite) no one is yelling "MOM" every 5 seconds! However, the boys and I had several errands to run over the weekend and we were in and out of the car several times, so they never turned the games or music on in the back. As we were sitting at a busy intersection waiting for the light to change I hear from the back, "
Come on PEEPS...green means GO!" (That was Sean) Then almost on cue, I hear, "The gas is on the right PEEPS!" (That was Sam) Then, of course, there was a long period of hysterical laughing from both boys because they had imitated me and found it so funny! Isn't it ironic that when I talk to them directly, face to face they rarely even hear me, but if I mutter something under my breath while in the midst of some mild "road rage" they can recite it back to me in tandem! Maybe I need an entertainment system too!

Ha ha ha! And I thought Julie and I were the only ones who actually still use the word "peeps"!
